Looking for Full/Part Time Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician-Fill Tech (Part Time/ Full Time)
Precision Care Pharmacy – Mohnton, PA

Seeking a part-time and full-time Pharmacy Technicians for our independent community pharmacy in Mohnton, PA near Reading. Precision Care Pharmacy has been serving both retail and long-term care patients and is expanding to Mohnton, Pennsylvania. You will join an excellent team of pharmacists and technicians who focus on outstanding customer service, senior care, and a unique work environment with no evenings, Sundays or major holidays. Our technicians enjoy an appealing mix of retail and long-term care responsibilities that make each day unique and rewarding without burn-out. We offer excellent pay, hours and work environment. We are looking to fill approximately 2 to 3 (7) hour weekday shifts each week from 10am to 5pm and a 10am to 2pm shift every other Saturday or full-time with similar scheduled hours.

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time

Candidates with experience in filling prescriptions on QS1 database is preferred but not necessary.Candidates must be energetic, self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team. Additional requirements include:
-Fills routine dosage orders and prepackaged pharmaceuticals
–Counts, packages and labels unit doses and bottles for inspection by pharmacist
-Assists the pharmacist in the dispensing of prescriptions and performs a range of staff support functions
-Possible deliveries to local facilities in company provided vehicle
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include:
-Time management skills
-Ability to multitask
-Ability to communicate effectively
-Knowledge of procedures and standards for the labeling and dispensing of prescription drugs

Latrobe Pharmacy Data Entry Technician

Position Summary 

Candidates must be top notch WITH EXPERIENCE IN A PHARMACY, proficient with computers and able to perform and multi-task in a fast paced team work environment. We are always looking for positive, energetic associates. Our main need currently is for a Data Entry Position, but we are also entertaining any enthusiastic applicant.

Pharmacy Technician Job Duties:

The Data Entry Technician, in addition to being our voice and representative to our customers over the phone, is ultimately responsible for ensuring that medication and treatment orders received from Precision Care Pharmacy’s retail, nursing home and assisted living home customers are entered and billed promptly and accurately into Precision Care Pharmacy’s QS1 system. The Data Entry Technician is also responsible for follow up telephone calls to doctors, nurses, and customers. This is particularly the case when an order is received with incomplete and/or illegible information. Positive attitude and excellent customer service, computer, telephone, and interpersonal skills are highly important. The Data Entry Technician is also responsible for a variety of other duties as assigned, such as filing and submitting refill requests, running and updating reports, and occasional help with packing medication.

Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Operating state-of-the-art Rx filling and counting machines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Receive manual faxes and electronic Rxs and input the data into the QS1 system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Place and receive calls to and from facilities and customers to alert them to any issues during the data entry process.
• Scan prescriptions appropriately for accurate storage and retrieval.
• Decide when to confer with pharmacists or call doctors and nurses for order clarification.
• Follow up with Refill Requests, Prior Authorizations and Calendar Items.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
    • Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving and follow through skills.
    • Good mathematical skills are necessary.
    • Strong work ethic and desire to serve our customers and residents.
    • Experience with QS1 preferred
